The La Vía Láctea Nature Classroom is an environmental education facility located in Casavieja (Ávila), in a privileged environment that enables us to provide an educational program connected to the classroom content. Early Childhood and Primary students learn about natural and rural ecosystems, their elements, the interrelationships between them, the benefits they offer us and the environmental problems they experience.

Caserío de Henares is an environmental education centre that is part of Madrid’s Southeast Regional Park. This farming estate, right in the middle of the Henares plain, has redirected its use to environmental education and sharing information about the natural values of the riverside landscapes. It also offers a sustainable leisure alternative with kitchen gardens that are open to residents. GSD and its team of educators and support staff, along with the Environment Ministry, manages the facilities, its activity programmes and hosting programmes.

GSD manages the Hayedo de Montego environmental education centre, in a stunning spot set in Madrid’s northern mountain range. In constant collaboration with the Sierra del Rincón Biosphere Reserve, this environmental education centre seeks to highlight its natural values as one of Europe’s southernmost beech forests and to raise awareness and understanding about the area’s traditions, uses, customs and agriculture varieties.
