Extracurricular activities
One of GSD's objectives is to encourage students to enjoy physical activity, music and culture, always with a key focus on promoting education and values.
We also promote knowledge of the natural environment to improve health and to sensitize our students to care for and respect nature.
All activities that are carried out are managed by the Sports Club and the Center for Arts and Culture, with the aim of educating and promoting the interest of children and young people in healthy and creative leisure activities. These activities help them to develop all their physical and intellectual capabilities, as well as multicultural interaction, forming them as individuals and enriching their education according to their needs or preferences.
The Extracurricular Activities proposed by GSD are part of the Educational Project, are voluntary and non-profit.
The GSD Sports Club, throughout its 25 years of history, has been magnificent in promoting sports in GSD schools and their environment, developing sports projects whose main focus is promoting education through physical activity and sport, knowledge of the natural environment and for the improvement of health, without forgetting its firm commitment to competitive sport in different disciplines. Its more than 9,000 students are a visible reality every weekend in all the sports centers of the Community of Madrid in its more than fifteen sports disciplines.
All the activities are programmed with the aim of educating in values and promoting the interest of students in a healthy, recreational leisure, which helps them to develop all their physical and intellectual abilities, shaping them as individuals and enriching their education according to their needs or preferences.

The Art and Culture center offers a comprehensive, interdisciplinary education that encourages the artistic potential and multiple skills of our students at every stage of education. It is founded on a methodology that is active, inclusive, and participatory, and has specialized teaching staff in several disciplines and activities. The education provided is adapted to different levels and ages, and it provides a wide variety of extracurricular schedules to give families flexibility. The teaching is backed by an efficient, personalized management that ensures high-quality service.
The Art and Culture center is made up of the School of Scenic Arts, which includes the artistic activities Music, Dance, and Theatre. The School of Plastic and Audiovisual Art includes plastic, visual, and communication activities. And the School of Multi-Skills comprises activities that develop and stimulate the different knowledge areas, helping students in their personal growth and improving their school performance.
At our center, students can enjoy an enriching experience of extracurricular activities in an inspiring learning setting. They will have opportunity to explore and develop their artistic, creative, and intellectual skills, which will foster their personal growth. They will also participate in events, festivals, competitions, exhibitions and displays, both internal and external, where they will be able to demonstrate their talent and share it with their families.
